Start Where you are At

If you are a member of CrossFit LifeTree, you place a high value on your fitness. You understand the importance of exercise in attaining and maintaining a healthy body and mind. You’ve seen the results, you know CrossFit works. You’ve also been around long enough to know about eating right.  For you, nothing more needs to be said. You were like a thirsty horse at the watering hole, you drank deeply.

But what about the other people in your life?

Even if you are on the right track, you probably know someone who needs to get with the program. Everyone has a friend or a family member who needs to get in shape!  For some it means improving the quality of their lives, for others, it is literally a matter of life and death. How do you help others know what you know and do what you do?

Leading horses to water is easy. 

Although everyone wants better health, not everyone is ready to take the first step. There is always a reason why now isn’t the right time. You may hear “I will get serious about fitness when the kids are older” or “I will change how I eat in the New Year”. People always think there will be more time in the future. Others think it’s already too late. “If only I was 10 years younger, I’d really take care of myself.” You will be another year older next year whether you exercise or not, so you may as well get moving and make the most of it. When it comes to your health, you can’t look back and until you get started, you can’t look forward either. 

How do you get them to drink?

Make the water tasty. Tell those you love how much fun CrossFit is. Share the amazing results you’ve had in your lives because of the training. Above all share that you don’t have to be fit to start and the best place to begin is where you are at right now. That’s the message you need to get out.
