Habits come in all shapes and sizes. There are good habits, and bad habits. Some habits are hard to break, and some are hard to start. Whether you think about it or not, we all have them. Brushing your teeth, drinking your favourite hot beverage in the morning, breathing air are great examples of common habits that most human beings abide by. But what about healthy habits? Those are important to develop in order to maintain and improve a level of wellness in your life!

Becoming habitual in our healthy ways can be one of the best things you can do for your well-being. For example, if you just try to get to the gym when you have time in your week, the time rarely appears out of thin air to do so. There needs to be a plan in place to go; a commitment to yourself to improve your health. Otherwise, other time consuming things will frequently get in the way. There is no such thing as “free time” these days, you have to make time.

But it’s really quite easy once it becomes a habit! It starts with planning your week around YOURSELF. Yes, it may sound a bit selfish, but it really isn’t! You deserve to have an hour of your own time to work on your well-being every day. The amount of positive benefits that come from just one hour of fitness everyday deserves an entire blog to itself. By planning your week around when you will workout, a habit will form. The habit will stick when consistency is applied. And when the habit sticks, it will become second nature. Before you know it, a year of consistent fitness has gone by and you will have the results to prove it!
